Default p1870

I just popped a P1870 code, tranny's been acting up a bit lately, sometimes needing a little RPM get roll'n or shift, going from 3rd to 4th gear sometimes jumps up to 6000 rpm, be cruz'n down the freeway and rpm start bouncing, go up a few hundred then back down and i can hear a slight rotational spinning sound when I accelerate.

Is tranny toast and need of of a rebuild or a valve body or a torque converter?

Anyone want a teenager?
The $h!t bird hasn't actually been checking fluids and let it get really low, put a quart and a halve in and code went away.

LOL. Yeah, it's amazing how vehicles do better with proper fluids and amounts. :-)

So, one concern could be why any transmission fluid was lost in the first place.

That's a good question, I don't see any leaks and none in the coolant either (these radiators are famous for having leaks if tranny fluid into the coolant), but I am going to keep checking and keep an eye out
