parking brake

Default parking brake

My parking brake has been broken since I got my truck back in Feb of this year. It's an 01 blazer, I can bush the brake to the floor but it won't lock into place like it should in stead it well come back up near the unlock position.. how would I go about fixing this?

Thanks bro. Kind of figured that. So is it an easy fix? It's about to be tax season, looking forward to fixing a few things u know?

Yup, about 3 bolts, undo the park cable, one electrical connector and the release handle.
