pass to driver seat cushion swap???
I did this. The foam from both seats needs to be removed from their covers. Then the passenger foam gets inserted into the driver's seat cover.
If I am not mistaken, the seats themselves need to be disassembled in order to remove the cushions. In other words, the seat back gets separated from the seat base. And of course, this is done with the seats out of the vehicle. The seats are easily removed with four bolts, two of which are Torx.
In my case, both the driver's foam and cover were totally destroyed. So I removed a passenger seat from the wrecker, removed the cover, and took the cover to an upholstery shop. The shop converted the passenger cover into a drivers cover. It involved moving the hole for the controls and the hole for the seatbelt to the other side.
I found it very difficult to get the foam into the cover. You really have to jam the corners in as far as they can go. But the foam itself is exactly the same for both the driver's and passenger seats.
