passlock question

Default passlock question

I have a 98 blazer with the passlock system and I am changing out the steering column if I use the original key,ignition,And ignition switch wiring harness will I still have to reset the passlock ? And if I have the ignition re keyed will that effect anything. Thanks in advanced .

Worst case scenario, you may have to perform a relearn (can be done in your driveway in under 30 minutes at worst). Using all of the original parts (switch & lock cylinder), you shouldn't have to do anything. Stranger things have happened though.
