Default Pcv valve location

l want to replace my pcv valve. I have seen photos and videos online of where it should be located on my blazer on the driver side towards the firewall. I don’t see it there. I see something that looks similar on the passenger side. I have attached a photo of it. Is this the pcv valve?

Since I have no responses yet, I’m posting more pictures. Maybe that’s why I have no responses? Is this my pcv valve?

Another picture showing where it goes into the air intake. See previous posts for my question.

No, that is not the PCV valve. The PCV valve is located on the driver's side. The PCV valve is located inside a hose that looks very similar to the one in your first picture.

Just pull straight up on the hose, and it pulls right out, and you will then see the PCV valve.

I don’t see anything that looks anything like that on the driver side. Do you have a picture of it that you can post?

Also what is that in my first picture? The hose connects from the air intake to the valve cover.

Here are 2 pictures of the PCV valve. The first shows the master cylinder and brake booster in the foreground to the right, and the air intake hose to the left. The PCV valve is located in the middle. The second picture shows the PCV valve towards the left entering the valve cover. The distributor is towards the rear.

As far as I know, the hose in your picture is just that - a hose.

I found it. A wiring sleeve was blocking the view of it. Then when I pulled it out, the other end of the connector thing on the other end of the hose broke. Went to the shop and they had a replacement.

The PCV valve uses engine vacuum to suck vapors out of the crankcase so the engine can burn them. The hose on the other side lets clean air in to replace what gets sucked out.
