Default please help with abs malfunction

My truck when it warms up after a while it will activate the abs without me breaking hard and then abs light comes on and when I continue driving the speedomiter doesn't show me anything and also at the same time it has trouble shifting ordoesn't know when to shift and is getting worse also I've been told it might be the abs module but others think it's the wheel speed sensor or abs sensor please help

On that note, it sounds like your speed sensor on the output shaft of the transmission has gone bad, or has a bad connection. That is where the abs gets its reading from the rear tires and where the speedometer and trans gets info from as well. That's where I'd start looking.

I thought the abs sensors where only on the hubs, and speedo on the tranny. I had trouble with my abs, put in a new passenger hub with sensor and the light went off. The old one was cracked and loose. Front wheel hubs/ sensors only, nothing on the back.

The only speed sensor for the rear wheels is the VSS located on the trans. I am quite sure it feeds the abs module as well.

Thogert is spot on. The rear doesn't have sensors on each wheel as it has a solid axle connecting both wheels and the safest most protected place is at the rear of the trans. It uses the driveshaft rotation to determine rear wheel lockup as well as vehicle speed for speedo, cruise control and transmission function.

I have ABS code that reads no signal from rear ABS. So is it possible for my speedo to still work but not send a signal to my ABS? Because everything works on my dash but the ABS light is still on and that is the only code.

May be an intermittent problem, but the code is still there.
