Default Po 306 code

Hello everyone my 01 blazer throwing po306 code I replaced new distributor cap rotor plugsAnd wires still getting code engine runs smoothly and idle smooth wires and plugs are gm cap and rotor are not any help much appreciated thanks

The usual recommendation here is to use AC Delco or Delphi Fuel pumps, spiders and ignition components. Most other stuff does not matter as much or at all. If the truck runs good, gets good fuel mileage and has decent fuel trims, I would not worry about it. If its important to you that we eliminate this code then I would get to all AC Delco ignition components and then check CMP Retard and get it with spec so that we know that we are chasing the correct cylinder. Do you have a recent compression test? What did the #6 plug look like at the last change?

Ok thank you my old plugs looked normal a lil black on them very light all six and I haven't hadno compression test it starts right up.I read thatDriving a lot the light should turn off on its ownMy blazer gets up to speed on freeway no problem too I will drive it and see if ck engine light turns off thank again for info George

If you ever get a flashing CEL that needs attention so you dont kill your cat or harm the engine but misfires you cant feel are usually not a problem.

Ok changed my cap and rotor to AC Delco and no more Po 306 code runs great at all speeds guess these 4.3 just like GM parts and not after market parts
