Default Possible radiator or cooling problem?

Hi there. I own a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4x4. Just hours ago, I started my Blazer to warm it up as it is very cold where I am located. Normally the heat blows as hot as you can imagine, but once I entered the car it was blowing cold air. Also, I noticed the temperature gauge was considerably higher than normal. I did think there was a problem but I had to leave because I was running late. As I continued driving, I noticed the temperature gauge was fluctuating between considerably hot to cold. When I returned home, I noticed a puddle of some fluid under where my car was parked. I popped the hood and noticed a faint burning smell. When I checked under the hood, I noticed under the area where the radiator is located was wet, as if something was leaking. Any ideas of what this could be? Thanks.
