power stearing

Lately I notice that its getting hard to turn my wheel all the way to the locking position. Right or left, at first I thought I had a leak and I adding some more fluid and still no change and I have yet to find a leak. Not only that I noticed that the fluid looks dark, that's not a good thing is it? So that only leaves two things, pump going bad or bad stearing box. I've heard the pump can be flushed. Is this true and do u think it would help any?

Have you lubed all of the grease, (zerk) fittings for the front suspension & steering linkage? IIRC there are 11 fittings, plus the stops on the lower control arms.

You know what that might just be it, the last time I got my front end lubed was at the end of the summer.. since then I've been doing my own oil changes.. but should I get my pump flushed or not?

Greasing made a difference on our 2002.

After time the fluid is going to look dark and most wear out the vehicle with the same power steering fluid. Now engine and transmission fluids are a different matter. :)
