Red face power surge while driving

Hi,

I'm new to the site and have been trying to find find an answer to a problem I have just started having with my 99 Blazer. Thought putting my own post up would help.
While I am driving, my volt metre will drop and blazer will stall when turning corners or just idling in traffic (will re-start no probs). Also while driving up the highway battery light will flicker or not when suddenly it feels like the tranny/motor graps suddenly and nearly stalls at highway speeds. Have changed the altinator, but this doesn't seem to have solved the problem. Any suggestions? Why the sudden battery loss even while cruizing? Dont feel safe on highway.
Thanks

My first guess would have been the alt but since thats been replaced my second guess would be the battery. I would have the battery load tested and go from there.

Wink power surge while driving

HI,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will get it looked at and keep my fingers crossed that it's just the battery

Probaly the battery, but make sure you have no loose connections from the altenator.
