Post Price of Parts - Fuel Pump

I have finally removed the fuel pump assembly from my 1999 RHD Blazer (see separate thread)

I have been quoted the equivalent of $900 for a replacement in the UK (I live in France) plus shipping!!

I have researched availability from the US but cannot seem to get any help because the vehicle is RHD. From the pictures on the web sites the pumps look the same, is there a way to confirm suitability.

The UK part number I have is 19177220, can anyone help?

I also need the breather fitting for the fuel tank, part number 15983085

If the fuel tank is on the left side it should be the same as the American models. The 2 and 4 door Blazer/Jimmy/Bravada used different tanks, so we need to know if its a 2 or a 4 door model. A new pump/sending unit goes for about 275 USD plus shipping.

Sorry, meant to say that it is a 4 door.

Tank is on the left side, long non-metal one underneath the rear passenger seat.

I have related my troubles in 2 threads regarding a faulty fuel pump for my 1999 Blazer LT, 4 door, RHD. I live in France.

Please, please help me locate a replacement fuel pump and breather pipe for this vehicle.

My normal GM parts supplier in the UK wants $900 for the pump assembly!!!

Pump assembly part number - 19177220

Breather part number - 15983085

I am sure that the pump is similar to those advertised by 'Car Stuff' etc but they refuse to discuss RHD models.

The car is sitting on blocks please help me get it mobile.

PN 19177220 is an AC Delco MU1733 pump and is available from RockAuto.com for $292 USD. I am not sure if you can get them to ship internationally, but it is worth a shot.

PN 15983085 is available for $14.92 from Parts4Chevys.com. Again, I am not sure of their international shipment policy, but it is worth a chat with them. They also have the pump you are looking for $326. You can use their contact us feature from their website to send them an email with the PNs you are looking for and your VIN so they can verify compatibility. I have had great experiences buying items from Parts4Chevys.com.

No problem. I am sure some other European members would like to know this as well.

Finally received the pump from Parts4Chevys and installed with no problems.

However vehicle still refuses to start.I think I really need to do a complete system check BUT cannot obtain a suitable hand held tester here in Normandy. Can anyone suggest a suitable tester and supplier in the US that ships. I will of course be asking Parts4Chevys.

Thanks again
