Problem with horn and airbag light
#1
Alright so long story short my hazard switch was taking a crap and my buddy had a blazer that blew up so he swapped the column out cause his only had like 80k on it. Now that this is done my horn doesnt work (can get it to work every once in awhile) and now my airbag light stays on
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like something broke in the column. The clock spring deals with the connections for the airbag while the horn has a sliding contact that protrudes through the clock spring. If the column was turned too many times while off the vehicle, the clock spring could have bound up & potentially damaged the horn contacts as well.
The steering wheel needs to be removed along with the upper & lower column trim covers to get access to the clock spring & horn contacts.
