Hi, I,m thinking to buy a 2003 4.3 Blazer 4 door 4x4.
Are there common promlems like driveline, engine troubles, what I need to know before I buy one?Last one died early!
Thanks alot for sharing!

Well the first thing that comes to mind for me are these issues:
Lower intake gasket is weak
Front wheel bearings can be troublesome
4x system vaccuum dependent is prone to minor failure when vac lines are neglected

Those are my issues that i have had and i think are generally common
with that said though..i like alot of guys on here have over 200k miles on original engine and tranny.
So they can be reliable and good to you if you give them proper maintenance and tlc

Default My 2002 Blazer LS

I have had very few problems with my Blazer. Replaced radiator and driver's side axle due to a leaking CV joint boot.
There is one known problem with the 2000-2004 Blazers and that is the front oil pan bolts are either loose or have fallen out causing an oil leak.

My Blazer starts within 0.5 secs of turning the key. Has never left me stranded. Like was stated above, the 4WD vacuum actuators can be a problem if the lines are not checked for cracking every once in a while.

You want to check the anti freeze overflow bottle and see if its got clean antifreeze in it and not a brown murky liquid. The brown murky liquid means the Dexcool has been used too long and it's starting to break down and sludge up and when that happens, say hello to a plugged heater core. And to replace a heater core is a job and a half. Oh, and check the radiator for coolant flow too. Overused Dexcool likes to plug the cores up there too.
