Default problems with front wipers

I was seeing if they worked, they would only turn on when i sprayed the windshield washer fluid. Wouldn't turn on when i turned them on.

Then when i sprayed the windshield with the washer fluid, they started to turn on then stopped. Now they dont do anything.

My dad thinks its a electrical problem but i think its a bad motor.

Any suggestions?

multifunction switch goes bad sometimes. You need a steering wheel puller to get to it (junkyard switch will be cheap [$5-$10] if you can find one that hasn't been in the rain/snow).

motor also goes bad sometimes.. =).

See the last 5 pages of GM's service manual (page 1498 of the PDF). Use the download link to get the entire PDF: http://www.scribd.com/doc/12986652/1...-Repair-Manual

i just put in a new turn signal switch and a new wiper motor and neither fixed the problem. It turns out that the wires above the wiper motor got fused together because of a blown exhaust gasket. Once we peeled the wires apart the wipers worked correctly lol
