hey guys im havin a problem with my 96 blazer the i would try to start it would crank but the funny part is that it would crank on clockwise and crank twice counterclockwise ..i replaced the alternator and new battery and still does it ..could it b the timing???

 

Since the starter can't do this, it has to be something with the timing being WAY off. I would suspect a possible timing chain problem since the distributor position is fixed on the SCFI (96 thru mid-02) engine.
