When I put the distributor in my Bravada, I was rushing a little bit and didn't check to see where the spark plug wires were resting. #4 and #5 found nice, cozy homes, laying on a manifold.

Missing in both cylinders, runs like crap, fuel mileage is down. Oh well, gives me an excuse to do a tune up this weekend.

Yes, put the new set on with the dist. Which makes it that much more of a pain. The cost of individual wires is high enough that it'll be cheaper and quicker to just get another set.

 

New plugs and wires in, no miss, power and mileage are back.

 

yep did the same thing on my truck years ago, luckily it did it with only a few miles left on the highway, i just threw some duct tape on it and get it home
