PUMP RUNS NO START

98 BLAZER 177000 MI I'VE GOT AN INTERMITENT PROBLEM
TURN KEY ONAND GAS GAUGE DOES'NT MOVE (EVEN THO THERE IS A FULL TANK)
GAUGE SAYS E AND TRUCK WILL NOT START IT TURNS OVER BUT DOES'NT START-- BUT PUMP RUNS WHEN I TURN KEY ON AND OFF
AFTER I TURN KEY ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES GAUGE WILL GO UP AND THEN IT STARTS
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS GARY

No need for the caps man... Have you tested your fuel pressure? It really is the only way to diagnose a failing or faulty fuel pump. The fact that you can hear it doesn't mean that it is supplying the flow and pressure required for proper operation.

Sounds more like a bad ignition switch module.

I concur with Kyle, sounds like a faulty fuel pump. Nascar28 states the vehicle turns over so the ignition seems to be working OK. Check the fuel pressure with key on/no start, you need 60 psi for starting. Watch the guage and see if the pressure bleeds off quickly, could be a leaking injector, a bad fuel pressure regulator, etc.....
