Well as I dig into all the electrical gremlins I have come upon the fact that there is no power to my seats.

Outside of taking:
seats
carpet
trim
out of the truck to trace the wires where might be a good spot to check?
already checked all the fuses, circut breakers, ect... The wires show no power at all to the motors.
Starts to scan over the electrical diagrams in Chiltons, but thought I would ask due to someone might have had this issue before and can save me some hunting time.

Thanks in advance

The wiring runs down the firewall straight under the driver's seat. It's not a bad job to get to. Pull the sill plate, front kickpanel trim, trim panel between the doors and seatand you sould be able to roll the carpet enough to get to the harness.
Check and make sure the circuit breaker in the fuse boxhaspower. My bravada had a short under the passenger side seat. The power wire for the lumbar had the insulation worn off and shorting on the seat's frame, tripping the breaker. If you are also having issues with the door locks, they are on the same breaker.

Door locks will unlock but not lock by FOB or by SWITCH. So I figured there is a short some where. Normally the switch issue falls upon the master control switch (bad contacts in the switch and/or bad ground). But seeing as it works for unlock then its the switch itself.

After viewing the wire diagrams, I see how the wires are run. Most of the inside is going to come out any way. I want to change out the carpet and maybe redo some color inside with the trimpannels. This way with the seats out I can manually test the motors and esure they are not shorted out.

Guess time to pull out the cam and start docing the process due to going to just overhaul the whole thing. Better this way cause in the long run I will know that it was already done. Time to fire up the hot tank and parts washer. And watch the budget go out the window [sm=alien.gif]
