lol yea i know. my mom got a hold of a jeeps owners manual and she was spewing information about how its supposed to be driven... like it says that your supposed to put it in 4wd when its raining... and you can put it in 4wd at any legal speed, but since its a 89 i think we didn't want to try it. lol with our luck the transmission would drop right out.

lol speaking of putting it in 4 wheel drive when it was raining.... I had to put my s10 in 4wd when it was raining. it was the mixture of no weight in the back and really crappy tires haha oh and a 5 speed

You would really be surprised at how many questions could be avoided by anxious owners if they read the book. I read mine on my 94 and discovered I had keyless entry just no fobs. Bought a couple online for about $15.00 each and they work like a champ. The guy before me didn't know he had it.
I am referring to the equipment and maintenance sections. I hope we all know how to buckle a seat belt and put the thing in gear. It'll even tell you what light bulbs you need before you tear it apart in the parts store parking lot. However...to each his/her own.

Yes sometimes that interior lights are having difficulties to absorb energy that is why lights are not bright.

You really don't want to run that low on fuel, just to prove a point, it very well might cost you a pump (fuel), once they get that low, they get over heated and burn up. Now thats half the fun to replace one (dropping the gas tank, expense, etc). So maybe look it up on line if you can't get the answer here or call the dealer and ask them (service dept). But don't run it on low fuel just to find out, you might get more then you bargin for.
Hmmmmm...funny I use to have a 1958 Edsel that had a low fuel light and a door ajar light, car was ugly and full of problems ie that stupid in the sterring wheel push button, what a mess that was. My wife use to hang a sign on it saying his car not mine!!! hahahahaha.

yea thats what both my parents said... and if there is any dirt in the tank in would get sucked into the injectors. i looked through the manual and it said nothing about a fuel light but it did explain every little thing about the gauge itself lol.

I sadly can attest that on my 1996 there is no light and no warning... done it twice... the check guages light comes on when the truck turns off...

Ah!!! The ultimate low (no) fuel warning light! I've got one on my 94 with the digital dash and don't have one on my 84 Jimmy. Never ran out of gas with either one. When it gets to 1/4 tank it's time to get some gas.

Well... I normally drive very short distances and I have a tendency to procrastinate... very bad habit
