Default Quick CV Question with Pics

Had to replace my front passenger side axle seal. Also been chasing a front end noise for months now, so threw in a new axle as well. Question is, is the axle installed far enough in the axle tube? I can't seem to get it any farther in there, from looking at the driver's side it seems to be about the same as this. Looking at pics on google though, it looked like other's were more flush. I've done a driver's side CV swap, this is my first time doing the passenger side.

Welp, after using a pry bar and 5 lb hammer on the idents on the tri pot to try to force it in more, it still wouldn't budge anymore. Hopefully that wasn't a terrible idea. Everything's all back together, took it for a test drive for several miles up to 75+ MPH, no issues. No issues in four wheel drive either. And no noises during the drive either, so hopefully success. Lesson learned, take note of what things look like before dis-assembly, or better yet take pics.

when a core is turned in for rebuild any dings or imperfections are usually turned out giving a new apperance - by doing such it gives the apperance of not being seated when it's actually in all the way and seated
