last week i put new brake pads and rotors all around the trucll i had a issue with my rotors heating up quick .. its been a week later.. 8 days with everyday driving and if i still brake hard which is not to often but when i still test it .. i stil notice the smell although the rotors arent as hot as they were.


how can i tell if my brakes r dragging?.. the rears i know are fine but the fronts i question

 

Approach a very minor grade @ (2mph) and shift from drive to neutral and allow the car to roll back. listen / feel for resistance.

 

do your calipers move back and forth how they should? i had a issue with a seized caliper bolt/pin. the piston would release the pressure on the pad but the caliper would not move, this causes the pad to stay pressed against the rotor.
