Funny how things work.I just finished replacing my trany filter(thats without saying the messy driveway,my wife liked that..ouchhh) and another problem JUST occured.I started my truck and Holy moly,a big white cloud was getting out of my exaust! White smoke=prestone!
BUT! before, also that week, when I parked my blazer,my radiator was leaking on the side, located on the passenger side.Gets me thinking,my oil lines goes into the Radiator so maybe the oil got mixed up with the prestone?I'm looking for reconforting here ..lolll
I bought that truck cause I fall in love with it and always liked those models, and I hate other people touching it(Took me 6 months before I letted the wife drive it), I wanna do this myself so going to the shop is a HARD option to consider
O yea also, just finished installing my new Gabriel hijackers, pressured @ 93 Psi.Here's a couple of picks. If I would'ent have kids, the ZR2 would have been my choice since that its gots more modifyng options than the 4dr, buts thats life ...Looks good with my 30 1/2inch tires

Before tearing it down to the block, check your compression. Also, have a good look at the plugs. It's quite possible that you have blown an intake manifold gasket which can act the same way, without the loss in compression.

Alright,I'll check the compression and hope for the best!I know the plugs are OK,i just did them myself 2 weeks ago, platiniums
*********.I forgot to add in my post,,It stopped smoking as soon as I got it in the passing gear( floored it @ around 35Mph to the passing gear)....
Its not smoking anymore(forgot to say in my post, sorry). Its better to prevent that to wait...
...I was asking this question cause we never know, maybe someone else has encountered that issue...
This place is like a big Familly! Thanks to you all!

I wasn't suggesting the possibility of a bad plug, but by looking at the plugs, you may narrow down which cylinder is sucking in the water and from where.

Can we back up a minute.
White smoke at start up, drive the truck and the white smoke stops, did you have any anti-freeze left, if so how much?
What was your temp gauge doing?
Did your SES light come?
Have you pull your oil dipstick and what does it look like?
Pull your tranny dipstick and tell me what it looks like too?
Something seams fishy to me about your posts. They are not consistent.
If you had white smoke (anti-freeze) and drove the truck till the white smokestopped your temp gauge would have been pegged, your SES light would have come on, you would have NO anti-freeze and would bedamn lucky you didn't crack the block and toast that engine. And since you mentioned a leaky radiatoryou might be looking at a whole lot of stuff to replace.
Now if this white smoke you speak of is actaully afaint blue smoke you might be in luck. It could be from oil that seaped past your valves and got in teh compression chamber, or it could be from oil, penetrants, etc on the exhaust pipe, or it could be from a tranny gasket seal leak (like the front pump) and got on the exhaust. Eventually you will burn those off, and it is possbile forboth those scenarios since this truck was up in the air while you did tranny work. Hopefully it isn't from a leaking tranny seal and you are out of tranny fluid.
What you posted lef tsome questions in my mind. Answering all those questions will help point in the right direction.
Edited to add this:
The leak in the radiator was on the passengers side, that would be the side for the tranny cooling lines, not the oil cooler. The oil cooler are on the drivers side. Double check that tranny fluid. triple check that tranny fluid.

Good day,
I Finally managed replacing the intake gaskets. Now the truck just cranks and thats it,no fire it seems
Here's what could be related:
-Replaced the belt(Belt tensionner to tight?).
-Removed the Distibutor shaft(Maybe is not put in right?).I could fell it good when I putted it back in place tough.
-New Radiator
-New rotor & wires(no new cap tough$$)
My friend tells me that there is two motors, one wich is "interfearing",if my term is right of course. So maybe thats related?I remember turning the belt for the fan removal,in that time, the rotor was off.
Also,I droped the coil by mistake, maybe something broke in there?
Its the 4.3 (CPI) on the 95 Blazer's.
Any toughs please?
Thanks,
Mart

Sounds like you messed up the timing when you re-installed the distributor. It took me about 8 tries before I finally got my distributor shaft back in the correct position. Once it was right, the engine fired right up. Good luck.

Alright,it was indeed the intake...smoke's gone.I had to pay 100$ + 45$ towing cause I could not figure out the Rotor possition. Its better this way cause I could have broken something
Last little question,I have no 4x4,Its a vacum issue?it goes behind the plenum right?I'll need to look under the truck,it fall off i guess.
But,where does my Cruse contol vacum goes? loll
There's like a foot of snow here in Ottawa and the truck's butt is spining everywhere...cannot wait to strech that baby's 4 legs
...I'm almost at the cigar!!!
And thanks for your patience!

Alright so I followed the 2 vacuum's that starts from the T-case.One ends at the tranny dip stick with a cap on it.The other goes near the brake module oil distribution and his connected with a T to other lines.
I must be missing something?!? I pluged the Cruse control vacuum behind the plenum and it works but is it really where it goes?!?.
I read on this site that replacing the Intake gaskets is not a big deal BUT you gotta remember where all goes when remounting it...
I'm "googling" it to try and find an answer [&o]
