Default Rain leaking in

Just bought a 2000 ZR2 about a month ago. My second one. Anyway, we had a hard rain a few days ago. Noticed water dripping out behind right rear wheel. Opened rear hatch and tail gate and the carpet was soaked on the right rear corner. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks in advance.

I do, with a 2002 Extreme. One possible explanation was I had removed the third brake light and left the holes open. Actually though, it was quite wet so I think it was something else.

Could be the rear weather stripping.

The weather stripping at back window looks good. The water must have accumulated somewhere in the rear quarter. It dripped for about 2 days.

You dry it out to keep any mold away? It would be consumed quickly in this Tx heat.

Any other ideas? These days I keep a towel back there.

On a thread by jrm000kc he discussed a leak from the check valve to the rear window washer. What about this as a culprit? His was located inside the molding but I am not sure where. If it was on the passenger side corner we may have a smoking gun.

Yes I have that problem the rain comes in along the plastic on the roof in the back just above the back window I don't know where it's coming from I know it's not washer fluid cause it's not soapy water and it's only when it rains my best guess is the roof rack or the window brackets in the back rain channel going to take it apart and seal the heck out of it in hope some to solve the problem
