Random electrical issues
Alright, my 95 Jimmy is running great.... But the brakelights and hazards don't work. The blinkers work, but only if the hazard switch is pushed down... if I pull the switch up, the blinkers don't work and there are no hazard lights. I can hear a random clicking when the switch is pushed down, like the turn signal flasher cycling, and I can force it to make the noise when I cycle the lights from bright to low and vice-versa. It also makes the noise a lot more often when the brights are on. There is a wire jury-rigged into the fuse box on the fuse side that leads under the center console, but I can't see where it goes from there. Fuse on the brakelights is fine, so is the hazard one.
Second problem: the speedometer doesn't work right. It reads my speed going 10mph when I am idling, and takes a while to come down to 0 after I have stopped. It also climbs if I rev the engine when I'm in neutral, and climbs when I am driving at one speed (usually around 40mph). Any thoughts?
