I bought a 96' Blazer 2 years ago which had been owned by my Mom since new. mileage when I got it was 50033.....mileage now 72650.
My question: it was not equiped with a "Tow Package".. can anyone tell me what I need to add or replace to have the capabilities of this option.
Door sticker shows about #4000, but when I tow even #1500 it overheats badly. thanks for yer help..

2 problems there.
tow package means you have a hitch reciever stock with your ride
the 4k might be the gvw rating...
as for the over heating, try a full flush, and add the proper mix of coolant/water.
ensure your radiator isn't all packed with crap, if so, pressure wash it out.
replace your thermostat.
while towing make sure you are not slipping in and out of overdrive as that will lead to problems with the tranny.
