your rear diff is leaking? not a big deal. go to a dealer, get a new cover, get some gear oil, and some brake cleaner. jack up the rear end. loosen the fill plug on the side of the pumpkin. pop off old cover, spray the brake cleaner in, wipe it out to get everything clean and excess fluid out. gasket the cover, put it back on, fill up with slightly under 2 quarts!

Where is the leak located? Under the "Pumpkin" or out by the brake backing plates... If it is near the "pumpkin" then it might be as hillbilly said just pop the cover and install a new gasket and fluid also make sure it is not the pinion seal at the front of the "pumpkin" then it would be a little more work...If the leak is at the backing plate then the axle seals need to be replaced...

Here's some info for ya (since search isn't working): Rear Axle Service

Like stated above, if it is just leaking at the cover, it is a pretty easy fix. The other locations have been gone through previously as well.

We can walk you through any of this if you'd like.

speaking from experience here..if it is your rear diff leaking...and it gets low enough....your rear axle/ bearings won't get the lube they need and you WILL have to replace your whole rear axle....I mean that's worst case senario....but keep your eyes on it...and make sure there's enough fluid
