Default Rear hatch

Ok so i have a 96 gmc jimmy 2 door and the rear hatch work but know it quit. i have took the rear tailgate apart and took the actuator off and tested it and it works fine a have checked the fuse i have tried a new dash button nothing. it wont pop open and when i push the button on the keyless entery i can here a clicking noise by where the button is on the dash i don't get it anyone have any ideas i am out of them. Thanks

Alignment maybe?
Perhaps the actuator isn't throwing the lever far enough to release?

just brainstorming here...

Ya the actuator is not doing anything just clicksby the button on the dashwhen i push the button on the keyless entry

It might be that the blue plastic thingy at the end of the actuator is broken. Before I replaced mine it was doing the same thing, you could hear the actuator moving but the window would not let go. Anyways long story short I replaced the blue plastic for about 6 bucks and it works great now.

this exact problem happened to me on my 2004 blazer last year. i did that trick with the metal clothes hanger and it worked. that little plastic green piece inside the tailgate broke. so when i took the panel off the tailgate after i was able to open it, i fixed it using mechanics wire instead of using another plastic piece that they sell at the chevy dealer.

So i checked the blue clip and that is ok is there any fuses under the hood that i am missing i know there is fuses but not sure if any of them are for the rear hatch. Thanks guys
