Default Rear Hatch Opening when put in park

Hello,

I have a bit of a problem, I recently did a tune up on my blazer, I have a 2005 blazer 2 dr 4x4, and now every time I hit the unlock on my key my rear hatch unlocks. Also when i put the vehicle in park it also does it....Do any of you know why or perhaps how to solve it?

thanks in advance for your help!!

kyle.

i have a 96 blazer so might be different but doesnt the rear hatch always unlock when you unlock tre truck? do you mean it unlocks liek you can hit the button on the back and open it or it acually "opens"? should do the first one i think.

well, With mine if i unlock the hatch the dome light stays on untill i open the hatch and re-close it. It doesn't actually unlock it it pops the trunk.

Yeah, I'm hoping the same thing. I have sorta been thinking its a switch in the tailgate or switch in the gate, but have to see in time, too cold to do anything right now.

hahaha, mine does this too. thought it was just me. the thing i do to mine is when i close the back glass, i grab the key hole (button) and pull out and wiggle (techinical terms) every time i have been in the back. never does it to me after i do that. hope that works for you
