Default Rear Hatch Problem

I have a 2001 2dr blazerand the rear glass will not unlatch. I have taken the panel off and found that the plastic piece that usually breaks on the motor is OK. I did find that there is no power getting back there from any of the switches or remote. Fuse is ok. I believe it is the BCM. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Any schematics would be nice. I have the Haynes wiring manuals and they are useless......Thanks

Is the motor itself still good?

Try unplugging it, and test the voltage while someone hits the button, and maybe double check to see if the plug on the back of the button panel is still attatched...

Does the hatch open with the key?

I've had the same problem. There actually wasn't anything wrong with the rear hatch. It was a problem with the power mirrors. If you look in the fuse box under the hood, you'll notice that the power mirrors and the pop for the rear glass are on the same relay. When it would rain, rain would short out the power mirrors which would in turn cause the rear glass to malfunction. Try taking out this relay and putting it back it which will reset it. Also replace the fuse for this relay if it burned out. You'll prob notice that it comes back to life.

i had the same problem and i went to the dealership and asked about it. there is a fuse that blows for the power mirrors and the locks and this includes the hatch. it is under the hood a 2 amp fuse that blows and they said it could be replaced by a 5 amp and not harm the circuit works fine now. that is the first and only time i will probably get something free from the dealership
