Default Rear hatch won't CLOSE...

I know there's a lot of problems with it not opening, but mine opens fine. Once it's opened, it won't latch. I can get it to stay shut sometimes, but the "gate ajar" light stays on, and you can just pull it open while the car is unlocked. When I press the hatch button, it makes a noise, but I see no movement where it's supposed to latch. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

It's a 2001 Blazer LS.

Please be just a tad more patient.

Do you have the glass up / tail-gate down option or the liftgate (everything goes up) option?

From the sounds of it, you may need to adjust the latch. I cannot remember if you move the pin that is in the floor or move the latch itself in the liftgate...

Yeah I just pushed the latch over and now it works fine, thanks.
