ok i got a 99 blazer ls. 4 door. 4wd. the rear hatch is a 50/50 opening hatch. where the top half (glass) opens up and the bottom half folds down. now its stuck shut. when i try and unlock it with the remote it doesnt work. i tried with the button on the dash board it wont open. and even when i use the key it doesnt open... im stuck.

symptoms: when i try and do any of the above to open the hatch it makes a kind of werid noise. its similar to the noise your car makes when you unlock all the doors, but its slower and kind of whiny-er. any help would be great!!!

 

[sm=welcomesign.gif]to the Forum. Sounds like your rear hatch glass actuator is broken. It's ~$350 at a dealer or follow the instructions in this thread to repair it.
