I am so glad I found this thread! I just bought a '91 Blazer, and all of a sudden the dome lights quit working, and the hatch button did not work. I just went out and checked, and the horn doesn't work now either. I will check the fuse first thing in the morning. Oh, and the lighter doesn't work now either.
A question; have any of you had to replace instrument panel lights? one side is not working, and I can't see half the panel at night. My husband is not able to do it right now, so I may have to get a friend to do it if it is too difficult for me.

thot id throw my two cents in considering i just had the same problem with my glass stuck shut. I didnt want to rip up the carpet concerned of the look so i basically pryd my panel open busting the ends that atach with screws inside the jam(not accessable while shut). wish i was a member befor to see this thread but instead of fishing for the lever arm by the actuator i pryd the glass open enough to stick a wrench inside to take apart the actual handle of the glass. when the glass opened i was able to look downwards and see what was catching it. not suprised its a problem considering my tailgate is all banged up. im going to the junk yard tmoro to pull a 97 tailgate from a 4door hoping i can modify it to fit my 2002 2dr. i have the bracket off at the moment and prep to paint and may put pics up after all is done.

i have same problem with rear window hatch.i push the front button and all it makes is a noise in the rear.cant find out what it is.but i heard it from another member to check fuse box under hood and that it would be fuse 2 or 3.checked it out and they look good.i have a 99 blazer and the box is on the right side if u open the hood its black and has a black plastic screw on top.

Chances are that if it makes a noise when you push the button....it's not going to be a fuse. If it makes a noise then the actuator motor is working but not engaging the latch. These latch motors can get weak and not pull or push enough to activate the latch. A little help with a lever of some sorts will usually open them.
Another post on this thread shows how to manualy open the hatch. It's pretty clear how to do it. Finding the slot in the back panel isn't hard. Push on the top edge of the fabric on the gate cover and you'll feel the hole under it.
