Hate to pull up this old thread again but my rear glass button won't work. I had the issue last year where the blue actuator arm broke and fixed that no problem. My problem is that the hatch button on the dash works and the key fob works but the button on the tailgate doesn't. Seems like it would be so simple that there wouldn't be a very high chance of failure. Is there 2 different fuses for 03's?.. one for the dash and one for the tailgate? I am finally to the point where I am tried of hitting the dash button and getting out closing my door and it jarring the glass and I have to pull out my keys after putting them in my pocket...

Great pics of the release from the inside under the tailgate carpet. Thought that I had found the solution but......
Even though I move the lever to my left while viewing the hatch from inside, all I get is the same sound as from the dash and exterior button...still doesn't open. Any ideas?????

This thread is great, and surely saved me $100 at a repair shop. It was really easy to find the access hole under the carpet of the tailgate on my '01 Blazer. What I WASN'T prepared for, was how low I would have to get in the bed to see what I was doing. I had to lie flat on my chest to see into the hole. As others mentioned, my gold lever had fallen down to the right (driver's side). The coat hangar got it pretty easily, and from there I got the glass open.

The hardest part was finding the replacement blue plastic part. O'Reilley could get it, but it would be a few days as it was not local. Advanced Auto Parts could only sell me the entire assemply (actuator and all, and for $60). Napa had it locally here in Houston, and will have it here for me same-day. The blue plastic part cost me $7.03 including tax. That's about as cheap a fix as can be had in an auto.

The plastic part came in a two pack. So now I have an extra for when it falls again in 11 more years.

I had a similar problem with a fuse like last week i think haha. Fuse that like helps run the fuel pump run went out and i didn't check the fuse first. I definitely will remember to check my fuses first

I have been skimming this thread for the past eightb hours and others just like it, nothing really mjatches my issue with 2001 LT blazer, push button in and no sound at all. Checked fuses inside and out nothing wrong. Talked to previous owner and he owned it since 56,000 miles on it never worked for him. Nor did the rear wiper, or sprayer. Has push button . I'm ouuta paitence
