Relearn after new crank sensor

Hi Guys. Putting in a new crank sensor. I think I need to have a relearn after installing it. My question is will it run well enough to get it to a shop? Thanks.

I just did mine last month along with a new distributor, and it ran fine. Remember the computer adjusts the timing on these engines, so if it starts you should be good.

Check around for prices, the shops in my area wanted $200+ to do a crank sensor relearn and setting the camshaft sensor retard, I found an independent mechanic on craigslist that did everything including live diagnostics for $50.

BTW, my timing was out 22 degrees due to the new distributor (cam sensor alignment) and he set everything perfectly while I watched. He did have to notch the distributor hold down clamp.
