Default remove spider injector unit

I'm replacing my spider injector unit, but I'm stuck. the unit is attached to the throttle body/plenum and I have it all unscrewed, but I can't remove it because the injectors are still clipped in. I can't get at the injectors because the body is in the way. I'm not sure exactly how the injector unit detaches from the TB housing. from the looks of my replacement part, it looks like it may clip from the inside. Can anyone shine some light on this subject?

Thanks

It would help to know what it is you are working on. But from the sounds of it, you are working on a 96+ SCFI engine. There is nothing that holds the injection spider into the upper intake plenum except the seal itself. It just pushes out after you have disconnected the injection connector harness and removed the fuel feed/return lines from on top of the spider.

Ha, sorry, kinda forgot about those details. You were close though. it's a 98. I was pushing down on it thinking it would just drop, but it didn't want to move and i didn't want to break anything in the process. I'll give it a few more taps to push it through. thanks

I put a piece of wood on top of the unit and tried banging it down, but it will not budge. Are we sure that it is not secured by a screw or clip?

It is not held in by anything but what has already been mentioned. You must pull up on the upper intake plenum while holding the spider down. Some penetrating oil sprayed in between the two may help loosen the hold.
