Default Removing nylon fuel line

How do I remove nylon fuel line off of a barb? I'm replacing my fuel return line with rubber from the transmission back and can't seem to get the nylon hose off the metal line. It looks like the hose was pushed over the barb and almost shrunk onto it.

I plan on sticking rubber hose on the barb with a hose clamp and running that all the way to the sending unit where it would be secured with another hose clamp.

Either cut it or heat it. I would cut it personally unless you have a decent heat gun that can get up in there. When they install it, the end gets heated so it expands, then it shrinks back down over the barb to a very tight, leak-free fit.

I was under the impression that the rubber lines weren't for high pressure fuel lines.

Razor Blade
Any "rubber" line and clamps should be Fuel Injection grade

if you are going to use rubber fuel line use the high pressure fuel clamps they work great and will not loosen
