Replacing front disk brakes on 1997 Blazer
I wanted to replace the front disk brake pads on the front brakes of my 1997 Blazer and am unable to get the brakes put back together with the pads. I'm unable toget the second padto fit. Does anyone have a diagram or instructions for putting the front brakes back together properly?

Which pad? Inside or outside?
Did you push the piston back in all of the way prior to removing the caliper?
Here is a guide provided by Autozone.com > CLICK Images were loading slowly on Autozone.com, but the information and steps are there.

*EDIT* - someone beat me to moving it.. LOL

RE: Replacing front disk brakes on 1979 Blazer
Thanks for the information Swartlkk. I have been able to replace the front brakes. However, now I have another problem.
Prior to replacing the brakes, I was able to operate my 1997 Blazer in either 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive. NowI'm unable to switch from 4wd to 2wd because the switchs are not working. I replaced the 4wd fuse even though the old one appeared fine and it still doesn't work.
Do you haveany suggestions as to what would cause this?

So do you have a 79, a 97, or both??
How many buttons do you have on the... Well, if you have both, then I would try searching on the 4wd issues with the 2nd gen s-series. If you cannot find what you need, post up in the 2nd Gen Tech section.

Sorry about the typo in the first posting, I have a 1997 Blazer and not a 1979 Blazer.
I'm new to this forum so I didn't know if this would be an appropriate section to post my questions in or not. Thanks for letting me know that it might be more appropriate to post under the other sections instead of this one.

Ok, then we need to move this into the 2nd gen tech section and edit the title of the thread.
