you could weld them up, which would be the best way if you know a very good welder..but then youd ahve to paint the truck...also, i would strongly recommend pulling the headliner or any other flammable material away from the roof when welding.it will get veryhot and melt/burn the cloth..

with the newest craze for the import racers of removing factory wings...some shops that sells import stuff sell "hole plugs"..they are very very cheap, and are easily painted to match the body color...they simply pop into place...and if you ever want to re-install your rack, they can be popped back out. i have included a picture of trhe plugs in a trunk lid....

you really should weld the holes up. the body filler will just crack. and filler isn't waterproof...it absorbs moisture so it will suck it in throught the crack and cause a leak and/or rust. just dont get the metal too hot when you weld them, or your roof will be warped as f**k[sm=massbounce.gif]

i guess its a quick way out, but im a picky *****. nothing personal, but i worked at a body shop for a few years and went to school to build street rods and kustoms so its been drilled into me to do it so it looks mint. but ifyou dont have access to the right equipment, then it'll work
