Default rotor is stuck!

Hey! I'm changing out everything in my rear braking system, but i have had trouble withthe passenger side rotor not wanting to come off... at first I had the E-brake on, once i figured that out I thought it would come off but guess what? its still stuck! I've tried the big hammer approach but nothing... now off to Walmart for some wd 40... Please help!

Its going to be the internal drum parking brake hanging up. Easiest way to deal with it is to attempt to turn it while pulling on it. One way that I have found that works in situations like this is to get it jammed on the internal shoe so that you can't turn it from that side. Then, with the rear of the vehicle totally off the ground and the opposite tire installed, turn the opposite tire. It helps to have someone else there to keep the rotor on the internal parking brake. Eventually you will chew out all of the built up rust ridge on the inside of the drum and it'll come off.

I don't know how much WD40 will help in this type of situation.

you could try a penetrating oil but then you would want to make sure to get that all off or your going to have problems stoping when you get it all back together

You will only affect the parking brake shoe which can be cleaned with brake parts cleaner after the rotor is off.
