Did a search, but i'm looking for some fresh input.
I'm getting a very rough idle, missing on acceleration, check engine light,and the crankcase is filling up with gas. These are all intermitent symptoms. Sometimes it seems to run fine. My gas mileage is down to 10 to 12 mpg. Whereas before these symptoms i was averaging 17+ mpg. I cleaned the EGR valve, but i reused the old gasket, and its leaking a little. That didnt help at all. I've heard that it could be the fuel pressure regulator, but i dont know where its located, or how to check it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

If your crankcase is filling up with gas, you've got an internal fuel leak. Most common situation is the FPR, but typically they don't seal themselves back up... Very weird. I would recommend that you pull off the upper plenum or atleast the MTV under the plastic trim plate and have a look down inside.

I looked inside and it was a little wet, but no major gas puddles.
