rough idle when stopped or parked

Hey, my trucks been having this problem for a few months now. when i start it up it idles high until up to temp and the it gets rough. also whenever i come to a stop or park it comes back. its not having a impact on how the truck drives its just annoying to have my whole truck vibrate at the stop light even my antenna shakes a little bit. if you have any suggestions just let me know thanks.

Check for a possible vacuum leak.

I checked for vac leaks and couldnt find any. plus my vents and 4x4 are working fine. any other ideas?

If you can't find any vac leaks then I would start checking for carbon buildup on both the IAC valve (idle air control) and the EGR valve. It could be causing them to stick badly enough to effect performance but not quite enough yet to throw a code.

ok I will try to look at them later tonight. thanks for the advice. Also I might try some seafoam because im going to need an oil change in 400 miles anyways.

idle

I would check for vacuum leaks, clean your MAF, air filter, clean your throttle body as well. Most likely it will be a vacuum leak. Check your spark plugs to they could be misfiring.

ok here it is i just got back to my gf's and now can post the pics I took. I cleaned the IAC,TB,air filter, MAF. The truck seemes to idle better now and I got allot of carbon crap ut of there. hers are the pics. There was actually a build up of crap in the IAC that came to a point and was just nasty. The TB was pretty nasty too. and I think the last pics is of my truck almost back together. I would suggest that if you havent cleaned your IAC by 158k like me to do it. I could notice allot beter throttle response right when I started it up. I hope my problem dosent come back now. o well im hittin the road. thatnks for you comments and help.

o ya I still need to change my plug wires but thats for another day.
