Default running not so great

i drive a 95 blazer 4.3 with 170k and it recently started doing this, under acceleration ill hear some popping from the exhaust and some slight hesitation plus my tachometer will go crazy i.e. will fluctuate from where my rpms should be to 1k over where it should be. any help or hints would be great

Check your distributor cap and rotor. Check your plug wires with it running in the dark
Have you done anything else to it recently.. or had any other incidents? Trouble starting after rain during night, etc...

Did it start very minor and getting worse?
