Default S-10 blowing ECM1 fuse once you turn the key

Have a 02 S10 that is blowing ECM1 fuse once you turn the key. Fuel pump has been replaced. Had a friend look at it replaced the fuse truck ran good for a few days then died driving down the road. Check and the ECM1 fuse was blown again. Have replaced had the truck started, wiggled wires around the engine (suggested by a mechanic) shook the battery (less than a year old) truck started running rough and died. CONFUSED and HELPLESS....

The ECM1 fuse feeds the ignition control module, ignition coil, all 6 fuel injectors, and also one of several feeds for the PCM. Check the pink wire to each of those components, and the components, for a short to ground. The crankshaft position sensor is NOT affected by the ECM1 fuse. Best to leave the CKP sensor alone unless there is a DTC in memory for the sensor, and following the flow chart specifically instructs you to replace it. If the sensor, or the timing cover, is moved, removed, replaced or disturbed, the crankshaft position sensor relearn MUST be performed with a scan tool capable of initiating the relearn.

probably not it, but I had this problem and there was a loom of wires that went over the passenger's side exhaust manifold that had melted to it. I would change the fuse, drive it, hit a bump and it would short and blow the fuse
