Could you give us some more information?
What are you driving?
How many miles?
History of the vehicle?
History of the problem?

We need you to paint us a picture so we can help.

Good luck!

Default po300

Its a 99 4door, 4wd, with about 140,000. Isaid it dies when I take the cover off air filter box,but I meant off the throttle body.its skipping under load and hard to start. also I was pricing on injectors and on some sites it states that it changes injection to multi port,is that right. thanks.

The MAF sensor is in the intake tubing near the air filter box. If you disconnect the tubing anywhere between the throttle body and the MAF you will cause the sensor to misread air flow and it will stall. That tubing must stay connected with no leaks while engine is running.
