Seafoam hydrolocked off the starter?
So I made the call to seafoam my blazer through the brake booster the other day having always been hesitant about it. So i did it, poured it in slow and did a full bottle. Got to the last quarter of the bottle and poured it faster until it died which it did no problem. After letting it sit for 15 mins I went to start it, I was cranking it for probably about 3 seconds and it just stopped. No loud bang or anything just simply stopped. Hit the starter twice two seconds after that and it was just one click of the starter and that was it. Maybe 10 seconds after that I hit the starter again, it turned for two or three seconds before starting and running with no problems after that. Did I hydrolock my motor and if so how bad if it was just off the starter. It started up seconds later with no problems. Why exactly??? Thanks
sounds like maybe you poured a little faster then you though. Ive done the last bit in the bottle dumped method and never had any issues. I guess,if the engines running ok just be happy u didnt cause any damage.
sounds like it but fortunately it happened after it stalled
probably the liquid continued running and pooled in one cylinder
I would change the oil because the cylinder it pooled in, it likely leaked past the piston rings
