Default Search found nothing, but know I have seen it

I have searched lookin for issues with the fuel gauge on the Blazers getting flaky and misreading. I know that I have seen others in the past post with this problem but don't remember the exact issue or answer to the problem. I noticed today that my gauge was going all over the place. I had place the trans in N and it looked as if it went back to read properly but took it out and back in and it was just as bad.. It would go up kto about 1/4 tankand float a little back and for there and then go back doen to the red in E. I had 227 miles on the trip from the last time I got gas. That is if I had remembered to zero it out and I am pretty sure that I did.
At any rate, can I get some feedback from anyone who has had problems with their gas gauge and what they needed to do to correct the problem and what exactly their particualar problem was. If it was the sending unit, wiring, maybe the guage itself or whatever it all encompassed to get it corrected.
I think I covered it all without a lot of rambiling details...
thanks very much...

I would say the odds are it's the sending unit on the pump acting up.

Which would mean that you need a new fuel pump. Mine does the same thing and I just fill up every 200 miles or so.
