Default Seat heat stays on

I have a problem with the seat heater on the passenger seat. It stays on even without doing anything with the button. I did change the button believing it was the cause but the problem is still there.

See on other threads that there is a module under the seat for the heater, could that hang in heat mode?
Or could it be other things. I should also mention that it is only on when car is running, so no battery draining.

Is there any part number for this one so I can try to find one to buy.

Thanks

Factory Electrical Schematic and Diagnostic Chart are attached.

You can always unplug the module, if you want to disable it.

Can't find a P/N for 2002 Blazer heated seat module. Only found for 2002 Trailblazer. Probably it is the same but who knows for sure. Expensive.

If heater quits when you turn the key off, then it is NOT the module. You need to monitor voltage on circuit 1501 (pink wire) coming from switch and going into the module. This is what actually triggers the heating elements on and off.

Could the switch lock itself in the on (high) position?

Thanks for the PDF-files.

Do you also have the "Diagnostic System Check - Power seat systems" it is the first check on the list for "Heated Seat Always On"

If you have voltage on the indicated circuit, but voltage goes away with the key off - then that is the case (or you have a short to ignition-switched voltage that is bypassing the seat heater switch). Simple as that.

Here's the Diagnostic System Check (attached). This procedure checks communication of the PCM with the seat position module (not heat module). I see it as completely inconsequential to your problem.

I caution you not to make your problem more difficult that it truly is. Yours is not difficult to diagnose, even with only the schematic as guidance.

Good luck and best wishes for a successful repair.
