Default Service Engine Soon light

My light is blinking. I can't check the codes because the OBD2 port doesn't work. Where should I start troubleshooting the problem to fix the OBD2 port?

Start by checking fuses, especially the one for the interior lights and cigarette lighter.

What happens if you try to pull the codes using an OBD II scanner?

The scanner won't power on. Update: I have the cigarette lighter port on the ash tray working again it came unscrewed, I'm gonna have a parts store try to pull the codes

If the check engine light is blinking, my guess would be P0300. Let us know.
