All I have is a steady ses light all of a sudden......the blazer is running great, idles smooth with ac on and in gear, runs great around town, and wot.......the fault code says maf......I have never had to clean the maf........I am going to do that tomorrow ... I unhooked the battery a couple of times and the light is still on ...........I read 13 volts to the maf wiring........any tips or comments will be appreciated.
I haven't had a dang bit of trouble with my blazer since I did the spider job........I guess it's about time ..
how the heck did i get these slating letters![Confused](https://blazerforum.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)

The ECM thinks that your MAF is reporting out of its normal range. The questions is whether the airflow is out of range or the sensor is failing/dirty. Are there any other symptoms or codes? Inspect all wiring and connectors, look for air/vacuum leaks and consider carefully cleaning the MAF. If no joy then you need to look further and I would start with fuel trims and O2 sensor output or replacement with a known good MAF.

I've gone ahead and checked all of the voltages and cleaned it up.......[ the electrodes were still shiny] so I don't think dirt was a problem. It is running as good as is always has.......thanks for the info.......I'll go ahead and order a new sensor........if that doesn't get rid of the light......a piece black tape will do the trick

A hard P0102 shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. Read this and ask any questions. Of particular interest is the functional testing of the MAF sensor using the scanner. Note that only step 14 has you replacing the MAF sensor.
Is the tube to the passenger valve cover from the intake duct off? Do you have tons of blow-by? Loose clamp or seal. That would show up in the functional testing.

I spayed carb cleaner in all places that I thought could suck air and cameup with no fluctuations in idle, after i cleaned the censor I drove a few trips around and down and the light would not go out.....so I went ahead and a did a fault delete on torque pro and it went out and is staying out.........It has come and gone a couple of times in the last 6 months.......that is why I ordered a gm censor and will be changing it out as soon as rock auto can get it to me...
It is very hard for me to do, but I have found that these blazers do much better when a guy doesn't wear the hood hinges out screwing around under the hood![Icon Biggrin](https://blazerforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
thanks a lot for all the help......I hope this thread can help others..........
