Shifter interlock problem

Shifter interlock problem
Have the floor shifter. The interlock solenoid in the shifter has been acting up. Doesn't want to release. When I press on the brake, it will flutter in and out. Is that bad or something else I should look at. Did a search on the forums but nothing positive on my problem.Thanks for the help.
